A Dozen New Catalogues Reviewed This Month

A dozen new catalogues.

A dozen new catalogues.

This month we review 12 new booksellers' catalogues. Mark Funke Bookseller has published his first catalogue. It focuses on Continental Europe, with a particular concentration on German material. Erasmushaus of Switzerland offers antiquarian European works. From France, Librairie Clavreuil has books and images of their time, which was long ago.

From England, Peter Harrington features modern and contemporary prints, art, and photobooks. Peter Grogan offers items related to twentieth century writers and poets. These are not just books, but much in the way of personal correspondence as well. Canada is represented by Patrick McGahern Books, whose catalogue includes material related to Canada and the Arctic, along with illustrated items, fine bindings, and antiquarian books.

James Tait Goodrich Antiquarian Books and Manuscripts has a catalogue filled with historical medical works, along with a few medical instruments and pre-Columbian artifacts. Jonathan A. Hill Bookseller features a variety of antiquarian material. The William Reese Company "pictures" the twentieth century, though some of those images are word pictures. David M. Lesser Fine Antiquarian Books features politics, law, and religion among the topics in their latest catalogue of rare Americana. L & T Respess Books focuses on the American South.
