For April, we review eight new bookseller catalogues. From the new, we have the first printed catalogue from Type Punch Matrix. From the long-established, there is the 30th anniversary catalogue from Paul Foster Books. Going back even farther, to the 1930s, is the George S. MacManus Co., which recently issued their catalogue #424 of rare Americana. Another well-established Americana bookseller, dating to the 1970s, the William Reese Co. offers a selection of recent acquisitions.
Zephyr Used & Rare Books has a catalogue of “Discoveries and Curiosities.” Shapero Rare Books offers a selection of, simply stated, literature. From Simon Beattie Ltd. we find material concerning Anglo-German cultural relations. Raptis Rare Books offers a wide variety of material.
