Description

Waddington's is a major Canadian art auction house, located in Toronto. It was founded in 1850, while Canada was still a British colony. It was founded by Andrew Henderson, a Scottish immigrant. The firm passed to Henderson's son Douglas when he died in 1928, and was sold in 1939 to Frank Waddington, hence its current name. Ronald McLean purchased the firm in 1962, and after his retirement in 2000, his three sons took over management.

Waddington's is primarily an art auction, so books and related material are not that common, but books concerning art and prints do come up.
